Hey, hey. Humans are SO interesting, I find. As the owner of the one and only Compaq "DeathNote" laptop I somewhat resent this comment. I'll be sending Zorc to destroy your city with his phallic imagery, and I'll be taking all your apple fields within the next forty seconds. (Possibly later if I don't learn how to spell soon...*cough*)
...Then after I destroy your city, I will rule the world as farrow, and play video games forever in the shadow realm.
After which I will dig through my inbox trying to find that insanely long LOVELY masterwork item of yours which I still have not read yet because we Shinigami types fail at life.
Ahaha. Good luck with that. Though you shouldn't hurry. There's a prognosis that within 50 years or something like that my city will be completely under water. What with the Earth plates moving and all.
That 'masterwork' is anything /but/ lovely for the duration of 75% of the plotline. Also, you have added to my statistics. All my betas disappear. This statement is now 100% true.
Oh really? Well, you can move to where I live and be about five feet above sea level total and sink beneath said swelling seas when global warming hits. <3
Ah, but I haven't yet read it (Still searching) so I can't yet say. (There's still hope.) And also, you need to make a new Stat-Stick for those of us who come back and rise up out of the ash with our red hair and eat men like air...and all that.
I think it was split up in several emails aptly titled with numbers. If all else fails, check your spam. It could be resting there. :'D I'll think about that when it actually happens. ;D
Oh yes. Then all you have to worry about is every single hurricane in the Atlantic ocean, and all the tourists. Oh, and the fact that if you're white (or of any sort of european descent for that matter) you're instantly a minority and people will automatically assume you're from Conneticut or something. *shrug* And Ninety Degree Weather for 75% of the year. (Farenheit. It's like... mid thirties Celcius I think. And typically about 60% humidity. Sub-tropics and all...)
No, I think I saw it and it was in my inbox, safely resting there, but I think I passed it because I don't toss stuff out. Ever. *epic!fail*
Heh, oh no. In fact, you won't even see a flake of snow. Last time it snowed in Miami it made headlines. One year we had frost on the grass and we were amazed. It hardly gets past forty. Of course, I should add, I'm at most, a mile from sea. When it DOES get cold, it's a damp cold... But global warming should sove that soon enough. Supposedly.
(I don't toss stuff out. Ever. Unless it's a comment I've replied to, or damn tokyopop trying to spam my inbox.)
And, hey, from what is sounds like and what I've skimmed over, you just made a "tester piece." I did the same thing before I posted my first fic. You make a piece to try out everything and work on your writing style in the meantime? I wouldn't have the bravery to show you mine. If if can be believed, it's worse than yours. (Though mine has no OCs.)
But, fortunately I'm safe because you don't know the fandom. (Never thought I'd see the day when I said that and was grateful...)
Don't know about that. When I wrote that, I was damned serious. Admittedly, it was all fun and games and chiches because that was the 'in' thing at the time, but as I went along, I started getting serious with it. Around chapter 26 or something like that, the serious writing bit begins.
Juvenile Orion? Beware. I have the manga saved on my computer for later reading.
Well so was I at first, then (because I didn't have chapters) somewhere after "they" got together I was like, "well...now what?" From there it's less "melodramatic introspective angst" and more "gee...I wonder how I can beat on them now that they're a couple..." I did mine so I could learn to write "romance" stuff. *smile* And somehow I've come out as violence-n-twistedness-loving as you. *grins*
YOU DO?! I wasn't aware they'd put up scans or anything! Well...If you want to read it, it's not the greatest thing, but it IS short since the series is five books long. And the room for expansion makes it good for fanficcing... (Not to mention I'd love to corrupt another author into the circle...) Do they have the whole thing?
See, even as I planned to get my couple together, I was thinking of how to break them up, pair them anew, put them through hell and then some and have one of them killed in the end. Even as I wrote it, I had planned to have things spiral down to hell after they married or whatever. My very first OC fic (which has not survived until these days) had the OC put through hell, ditched by Malik and nearly burnt to death in the last three chapters. In the end, Bakura used Pegasus' Eye to mess with her memories and make her forget everything.
The source I got if from is reliable, so I'd wager that yes, it is the whole thing. JO is not the only manga on standby I have in that folder. There's also Mahou Tsukai Kurohime, Ja-Dou Tenmou Yatan, Kamui, Fate Hollow Ataraxia/Zero and quite possibly some others. As it is right now, I might get around to reading it in a few years.

The end.
