Worst possible time to realise that you've completely lost a character's voice is when you've sat down to finally finish that one fic that's been on hold for two years. D8

And what gives this a twist of irony is that this character is practically a gender-reversed me.

I have no idea how my fantasy novel with werewolves, demons and old-school witches ala ugly potion-brewing hags turned into a futuristic planet Earth thriller.
And why do all of my characters - antagonists and protagonists alike - suddenly have only flaws? And why are they out to sell out (if not outright kill) each other?

I love my plot all of a sudden. I just hope it doesn't end at around 25k. 'Cause that would suck big time (and I'd have to wing a sequel for it). =/

A second person has requested the revival of "Twisted Games Of Fate".

I... should finally sit down and rewrite it. Especially now that I have found the perfect (but there is no such thing as perfection) way to start it off (which I have tried - and failed - to do five times already). I think (though I'm not sure) that this time I could really pull it off.

I wonder if I should bother dear [livejournal.com profile] obseletevulture with my horrible writing of the old days when Mary-Sues and self-inserts where the hottest stuff and wild OOC was the only way to go. It might provide a brainburn.
