Apparently I am the secret love child of Isaac Asimov and Dan Brown? Case in point: it could be worse.
Tolkien? Why Tolkien? He stops every three pages to sing an unrelated song about dead people. Seriously. Anyone with some semblance of pacing could probably beat him out, even if he takes his research exquisitely seriously...
Because. He created a huge fully-functional world and I envy his skill for creating such a voluminous fictional history. He had the dedication to create a language. A language. A functional language. And if his time had allowed, he might have expanded on two more made-up languages. And most of all I envy that he actually did it. He wrote a one big story. A procrastinator like me is thoroughly awed.
