Oh, those. I should get off my lazy ass and post some of my fic quote icons there as well.
Brother houshi is somewhat contemptuous to non-monks and has a high-and-mighty stick up his arse, and he likes to treat his siblings as if they're his underlings. And technically, they are, but that pisses Saira off. It's also a reason for her distaste for all Sanzo priests. Since she has only known her brother who spends most of his time in prayers and meditation and barely leaves the house in fear of his own life, and there's always incense and candles lit in his room, she considers all Sanzo priests to be pathetic weaklings. (Thus, Genjo Sanzo is a refreshing experience for her. Since she's been raised and trained to be a bodyguard for brother houshi, imagine her surprise when she tries to shield Genjo and is told to fuck off and get out of the way.)
Since there are a lot of youkai roaming around, brother houshi doesn't step outside the grounds of the shrine where the protective shield-spell is not in effect. He's somewhat of a scaredy cat and would rather sacrifice his underlings to get out alive of an assault than actively join the fight. He knows that his scripture is a fake one, but denies it. When Saira's dragon steals it at one point, he goes nearly ballistic and orders Taira to get it back, which pisses off both sisters. ("The damn thing is useless, why the hell do you need it?")
Brother houshi thinks of Genjo as an equal, tries to discuss holy texts with him and is very much shocked when he finds out that he doesn't give a damn about them. He is even more appalled when finding out that the noble Sanzo houshi kills youkai (and humans) who get in his way. And his shock goes over 9000 when he discovers that he's travelling with 'those murderous youkai'.
:D Yeah. But I doubt it. This fic has been on a still-stand for a year now.
That's okay. If provoked, I can ramble non-stop about my writings, so it's nothing new that I accidentally out-ramble you. And ouch. Kids can be obnoxious like that. =/
Tell me about it. I have also two Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children fics started: one is at the 4th chapter, the other - at 2nd. There's also a fic for Saiunkoku Monogatari and my latest brainchild for a Bleach timeskip. D:
Can we just say that I suck at writing anything multi-chaptered? =/
