Oct. 23rd, 2008 12:21 amThis morning, I could've sworn that I awoke at around 6 AM when mom was getting ready for work and I saw fire in the hearth. I thought mom has lit it because it was cold-ish outside. (My grandma used to do that in early winter mornings to warm the room up.) I could even hear the fire cracking. Also, the small salt lamp by my bed was turned on when I went to sleep (I do it to ease my breathing and headaches during the night.) and it was still on when I first awoke this morning. I must have fallen into a small slumber after that because the second time I woke up the lamp was off and I even checked it to see if maybe the lightbulb had burned out. It wasn't, so I assumed mom turned it off.
When I got up hours later, the lamp was turned off and the hearth was cold. I asked mom and she said that she'd only peeked into my room to see if I was still asleep. The lamp had been turned on at that time.
Funny thing is? I could've sworn I was awake and that I didn't turn off the lamp. I knew that mom was getting ready for work, I saw the firelight, I heard fire cracking and I felt the heat coming from it. And there's just no way the hearth could have gone ice-cold in just three hours.
If all that was a dream, it was one freaky realistic dream.
