I needed an icon of someone doing a dramatic defensive points-at-j00 pose for my WTF? DO NOT WANT! moments. And as I wasn't into either Bleach or Naruto at the time, my choices were somewhat limited. Thus, Cloud and his humongous sword was just perfect. Also, Cloud has the darnedest blank face expressions.
_ FF XIII - VS XIII | Crystal Fairytale
I ship it.
I was one of the first ones aboard this ship. All it took was two extremely short low-quality trailers. In addition to the insta-awesomeness factor both of them have, there's also the added bonus of it being a semi-crossover. Or not. Or a crossover. Or... not really. It's an inter-dimensional-something-relationship.
They're perfect for each other, by the way.
This is one of my two happy/pleasantly surprised/polite icons that I (mostly) use on icontest posts where I'm among the winners. Clearly, the Muraki icon gets taken out more than this one. -.<

Ahahaha. Millennium Bling. For some reason I can hear him singing 'All For Love' with completely screwed-up lyrics in my head. It makes such wonderful sense.
To be honest, I no longer remember why exactly I slapped that text on this icon. I think it was one of those posts in PTDC way back when.
...I think I still have the original version of this stored somewhere in my folders. It was... bleak and not at all Marik-worthy, so I prettied it up with some textures. Nowadays, it's my gleeful bastard icon. Or, alternatively, 'Y00 gonna get own'd' and 'I'mma be messin' up ur gamez nao~' expression.
I've been considering recreation of this icon without the text. If only I could remember what kind of messing around with colours and textures I did on it...
_ Sanzo | killing angels
The reason for this? I needed a Saiyuki-themed icon to post stuff with to the Saiyuki-themed corner of eL-Jay, and out of the three (or four, but that one Hakkai icon didn't hold too long) icons I had, this was the only one to survive until this day.
The reason for the text was the picture this icon was cropped from - it looked like Sanzo had just finished killing an angel (or a pillow), what with all those white feathers floating about. And since he's been known to kill (or try to and fail miserably) gods and other Sanzo priests, it wouldn't be below him to kill an angel as well. (Also, a reason why I snort at Suefics where the OC is an angel sent by Kanzeon. Puh-lease.)

Because Bakura so deserved to win and live. Also, he's insta-threesomejust add water.
I'd meant for this icon to be more texture-heavy, but ended up liking this simple colouring better. And the pose... oh, the pose~ And the smug look on his face... And... just look at him. Look at him! ♥♥♥~~
I might be the most hopeless Bakura fangirl out there, but don't take my word for it~ ;'D
