(no subject)

I think I'm in love with Bakura. (Which isn't anything new, really.)

In other news, I'm sick, my job sucks, the economy sucks, my country sucks, our government sucks, i want to die, I'M SO EEEEEMMMOOOO BAAAAAAWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!111!!!!1

Yeah, fuck you too, life.
I want my vacation already. 21 days left and then FREEDOOOOMMMM!!! /stop Wallace impersonation

Escapism in empty daydreams, Y/Y? (So far, Bakura and Mariku have ruled over them liek whoooa.)

Awwww. Yeah, after listening to the news today, this is pretty much what I was thinking... This sounds wrong and selfish, but I'm a little comforted that I'm not the only one.

Go daydreams! *hugs*

*hugs back* ♥~
Which is totally okay. Being a little selfish is good. Emphasis on 'a little'. Too much, and it can be really damaging.
You know, I'd even go so far as to say that we're far from being the only ones. I'd wager that people like us - and by this I mean middle-class society - are all in a similar state. Everything is falling apart and they don't know what to hold on to anymore.

Daydreams are good as far as escapism goes, but it's also a dangerous thing. If you play in them too much for too long... I think I don't have to spell it out.

Yeah, it is always best to keep to the golden middle of everything. And that comment about society really nails it, I think. We are all in the state of anomie! I predict a rise in suicides. Always comes with such situations.

Yeah, that's right too... Well, taking the easiest path never led anyone anywhere, right? Still, without momentary distractions, I think it would be much worse.

But keeping to the golden middle doesn't bring any progress. At least, not when one's spiritual development is concerned.

To a certain death, maybe? I seem to recall a fairytale or another...

Honestly, I won't be one to know. Spiritual development has never been on my list so far.

Hmmm. The only things that comes to my mind right now is Mother Holle...
