It's one of those small things that you usually don't notice until it hits you in the face like a ten ton truck or a flying brick. (Or maybe it doesn't, but choking on tea is less dramatic than being ran over and left in the dust.) Also, I think my icon fits the text below in a snarky-sarcastic-denial kind of way.

Now, I don't know how many of you have seen DOMA arc; I like to think majority, but of course there are those who haven't. I'll assume you're all informed about the plot of this season and are (at least) vaguely familiar with the characters.
And now let's see how many of you have come in contact with Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children because this post is all about the villains in DOMA and AC. Let's take a closer look into the dynamics of both groups of three.
First, we have the youngest and most action-happy member of the group: Valon/Varon vs. Kadaj.
Both loud, opinionated,wear shoulder pads, and prone to violence (one more than the other). The most noticeable part of the group. (And they have a female complex (as ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
dbzhobbit put it): Valon - Mai Valentine (ZOMG! Valentine! Vincent's wife??? CROSSOVER!!!); Kadaj - "Mother.")
Second, the silent and feminine middle part: Amelda/Alister vs. Yazoo.
Mostly withdrawn, not too talkative, but have their spurs of anger. Often overlooked and neglected, tends to stay in the background. (But are really kick-ass characters.)
Third, the big bulky oldest one: Raphael vs. Loz.
And this is where the shit finally hits the fan. Muscular, mostly silent, the obvious leader type (which is true only in Raphael's case). The main physical power of the group.
I stared and stared and stared at those two pictures until I could no longer deny it or write it off on a hallucination. Loz and Raphael should be twins. The hairdo, in the front view at least, looks identical, as do their faces and the overall physical complexion. Now I think I know what the people who created DOMA arc were on - the same thing as the creators of Advent Children, and that stuff worked damned well.
I mean, hello? The final proof - the two faces behind it all: Dartz vs. Sephiroth.
Green eyes - check, abominably long hair - check, similar bangs - check, similar faces - check, long swords - check (Dartz did wield a sword back in the day, remember?), manipulating three pawns - check, being god-like - check, world destruction - check.Leviathan = Jenova? Orichalcos = Jenova? Hell yes!
